International Department
Since 1989, SEPR has been developing international activities and works in partnership with 56 training centres and organisations in 20 countries.
SEPR International strategy strongly supports and implements mobility for individuals, thanks to internships in companies, academic semesters abroad, VET staff training mobility, teaching sessions carried out by foreign professionals, Erasmus PRO with long-term mobility.
SEPR has been awarded the Erasmus+ VET charter, the Erasmus+ charter for higher education and the “Good Practice” label from the Erasmus+ French National Agency.
SEPR cooperates with foreign VET centres for innovation and exchange of good practices, related to crucial challenges for VET such as internationalisation, digital learning technology and resources, social inclusion, entrepreneurship…
SEPR is also actively involved in pilot projects and Capacity building projects in order to support and to bring its expertise and to improve innovation, modernization and internationalization of VET organisations beyond EU borders (Africa, Western Balkans, Eastern and Central Asia…).
Since 2022, SEPR is also involved in Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE): as the leader of the MOSAIC CoVE, in the field of Arts & Crafts in order to provide high-quality vocational skills, support entrepreneurial activities, diffusion of innovation, and act as knowledge and innovation hubs for companies, while working with centres in other countries through international collaborative platforms ; and as a partner of Auto-CoVE 2.0, aiming at adapting the VET provision to the greening of the automotive industry.
Our engagements
SEPR has developed strong policies in terms of welcoming learners with special needs, developing social commitment, citizenship, representativeness and solidarity among and for the learners, supporting entrepreneurship skills and excellence in VET and implementing international activities.
SEPR holds 2 ISO certifications: ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 50001 for energy management, and regularly uses EQAVET (European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training) in its European projects.
About SEPR
SEPR (Société d’Enseignement Professionnel du Rhône) is a vocational training centre created in 1864. SEPR is one of the biggest VET provider in France. SEPR trains around 4500 learners each year in 20 excellence hubs.
SEPR offers training from EQF level 2 to EQF level 7, within different pathways: apprenticeship / dual education; full-time study and continuous training, including upskilling and reskilling. SEPR comprises 440 teaching and not-teaching staff.
