About the project

The InclusiVET project has a main objective to contribute to a more inclusive environment at Vocational Education & Training (VET) Institutions, by creating interventions aimed at increasing underrepresented learners’ engagement in the life of their academic institution.

Objectives

The specific objectives of the project are:

Increase understanding of existing practices of inclusive learner engagement at VET institutions

Identify good practices and innovative ways of a more inclusive student engagement of VET learners

Promote increased participation of non-traditional and underrepresented groups within VET institutional formal and informal systems of learners’ engagement

Develop strategies and tools VET institutions can apply to support the development of an inclusive learner engagement culture

Outputs of the project :

Conducting research at institutional, national and European level to understand the barriers, challenges for inclusion and learner engagement in Vocational Education and Training & collect the good practices to enrich the knowledge and skills

Developing a Self-assessment tool for VET institutions to evaluate their own learner engagement with guidelines on how to develop institutional inclusion strategies

Creating and piloting a learner-led review focusing on policies and practices of inclusive learner engagement which will provide VET Institutions with a unique way to empower their learners to assess the performance of their own institutions and detect its strengths and weaknesses

Upskilling the learner support staff via free InclusiVET online modules and the capacity building resources which promote inclusion and learner engagement
