Electronics and computer networks

Installation, maintenance, repair: whether we’re talking about IT or telecoms networks, or ski lifts, these tasks require highly technical skills. Evolving technologies, combined with constantly changing regulations, mean that qualified professionals are essential.

Electronics maintenance technician

Electronics maintenance technician

Involved in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of any device containing electronic components. For example, they master the operation of geolocation devices (GPS), access keypads, alarms, remote controls, etc. Electronics engineers are capable of working on boards containing SMDs, highly miniaturised components such as those found in smartphones or laptop PCs. They will be able to adapt to new technologies (3D printers, LED lighting, etc.).

Telecommunications and network technician

Telecommunications and network technician

Manages and administers the computer network, based on an analysis of the installed base, user requirements, technical imperatives and the budget. They test, install and maintain hardware and software. You may progress to become a network administrator

Network administrator

This role defines investments and equipment upgrades. They create security systems, authorise access to information and provide assistance to users. You may be required to manage a team

IT installation technician

IT installation technician

Telecommunications and radio, computer networks, security systems, alarms and fire detection, etc. The technician carries out the initial installation of equipment: workstations, applications and mobile equipment, etc. They configure and customise the equipment according to the instructions given, adapting it to the needs of the customer or user. They then update the equipment. They work on the equipment to improve its performance, add functions or correct malfunctions.

Electronic board technician

Electronic board technician

Technicians are involved in wiring assembly, production on SMD machines, electronic board design, wiring and integration of electronic equipment, inspection of electronic boards at the end of production. With the spread of fibre optics, you will be involved in deploying the infrastructure and cabling for a fibre optic installation, testing compliance and operation, and commissioning the system on the customer’s premises. They are also responsible for maintaining the systems they deploy.
