Dental Prosthetist
Dental Prosthetist
A dental prosthetist analyses prosthetic cases, designs, fabricates, repairs, and produces custom-made dental prostheses. They may also work on orthodontic appliances. They hold technical responsibility for the dental prostheses provided to prescribing clients (dental surgeons) on behalf of specific patients. They can choose to specialize (e.g. as a metallurgist, model maker, finishing specialist, ceramicist, or digital prosthetist) and have the opportunity to advance into supervisory or management roles.
